Hi all

I've run into a very weird problem with my installation of Jaunty. When I double click a document in the file manager, the correct application opens, but without loading the file that was clicked. So if for instance I double click on example.txt Text Editor opens but with no file loaded. I then have to drag and drop the file on Text Editor or use the File > Open route. The weirder part is that if I run Nautilus as root everything works fine.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

solved my problem, no thnaks to you lot ;)

I changed my menu entries by adding
bash -c to the front of the command so that the program opens on the correct X-Screen. This however caused files not to open when double clicked as it appears that Ubuntu uses the menu commands to do this.
