Telkom is the local telephone provider (till recent the only one).

try it with a word document, or a txt file with instructiond, or a PDF. TBH, I'm not that suprised, their max upload on their copper system probably wouldn't exceed 256k very often...

Government officials have their pockets lined with Telkom shares, which is the reason why Telkom still is a monopoly really. No competition in sight and will be allowed.

And so South Africa has one of the highest if not the highest telecommunication costs in the world. Just to line pockets....

Not a way to develop previous disadvantaged people...
