Hey everyone. I am trying to find some information about how linux has changed over the years, and can not seem to find much information that really applies.

The question that was asked to me is, "What have been some major developments in OS design?" If anyone knows a good article (non wikipedia style, this is for school) that gives a good explanation could you please share it with me?

Thank you

Scott

I can give you this picture of the linux evolution in terms of distros and the years they came out... bit outdated but pretty cool.

You are right. It is very interesting to see how all the different distros have branched off from the others. This might be helpful, maybe I can try to dig around from one distro and follow its change over the years. Thanks for posting this =D

That's cool. United Linux didn't last long... I'm surprised that there aren't more that have been terminated.
