This just came out a couple of days ago.

As a netbook owner, I've been waiting for Ubuntu Karmic NBR. Is it going to have better functionality than this?

Easy Peasy is based on Ubuntu. The current release is a modified version of Jaunty, and their next release in November will be based on Karmic.

You didn't say what model of netbook you have.

I've got an EeePC 701. I tried Jaunty Netbook Remix, but I thought it was crap. It's a real resource hog, which is not a good thing for a netbook OS to be! Then I tried Eeebuntu, and that's what I've stuck with. All of the EeePC's hardware works just fine with Eeebuntu, and now I've upgraded the RAM to 2GB I find that it flies!

I have an MSI Wind, and it run Jaunty just fine. It's a 1.6ghz Intel Atom, and 2G of Ram. My only issues with Jaunty is the Intel Graphics Adapter. And the 2.6.30 kernel is supposed to work those out. Karmic is going to use the 2.6.31 kernel, and the problems are supposed to be non-existant at that point.
