Had a freind download the latest version of Jaunty for me.
By default it installed and loaded the desktop version of Jaunty
when I tried to debug my express card with a modbrobe it said device not found.

Somebody told me to get the laptop remix version of the kernel.
So I did that using the inbuilt package manager.
When I re-boot I see the new laptop-remix kernel all looks good.
When I boot into it I find that everything is broken.
I have a new KDE desktop manager.
My sound / Wifi / Bluetooth everything is not working.

When I try to go back to the older kernel on boot up it crashes with an error msg saying cant load Nvida drivers.

This is really frustrating.
I have a Dell XPS M1530 Laptop
Just want Ubumtu to install and run.
