Please someone:
GET RID OF THE 'DISPLAY' TOOL !
Cook an alternative for that.

There is page after page information and help how to edit xconf. All they are more or less mysterios, out of sync and for some obscure old versions.
I can not recommend Linux to my customers as long as they can not set their screen resolution without mystical eleven finger tricks.
If you have a KVM switch, you are really in trouble.

Is it impossible to make a simple working (graphical GUI) tool to make the editing ?
If it is possible for M$ to make a workin tool for setting resolution, it should be for the Linux activists too.
