Hello Ubuntu guru,

I want to step it up and load VM ware on this Hardy Heron OS. I saw a couple of tutz but it was somewhat difficult to process. Does anyone know of where I do a basic load of VM ware. I do have an Xp cd and the key.

If someone can provide a 3rd grade level guide, i would really appreciate it.

yes i am a newB!!

The easiest guide I've seen on vmware is here ->https://help.ubuntu.com/community/VMware/Player
I you prefer an easy to use point and click GUI, use virtual box instead.

yes you should consider using vbox instead of vmware...alot less issues to deal with!

Loading, launching or starting virtual box shouldn't produce this error because the program doesn't need to boot from anything by itself. What exactly are you doing when the error shows?

all i'm doing is trying to launch the program.
