updating issues

so i tried to install this program my dad told me about formally known as X roach. anyway, its now called groach and i couldn't install it. Furthermore, i now get error messages when updating. It wants to partially update.

"Run a partial upgrade, to install as many updates as possible

This can be caused by:
-A previous update that did not complete
-Problems with some of the installed software
-Unofficial software packages not provided by Ubuntu
-Normal changes of a pre-lease of Ubuntu"

Hi, open a terminal (Applications>Accessories>Terminal) and do a partial upgrade with

sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
