Hi

Wow, I made a thread. I never do this...

Anyway... my parents would like some genealogy (sp?) software, you know, stuff that allows creation of family trees and stuff. Anything on the linux platform at all?

Suggestions appreciated.

While not for Linux, Ahnenblatt (http://www.ahnenblatt.com/) (a German genealogy program) runs perfectly in wine and has no cost. There are other languages available (I linked to the English page).

My dad uses it and he seems to like it.

GRAMPS is one genealogy program for Linux

You can install it in Ubuntu by searching in the add remove apps list
