Ok so I have a macbook pro 4.1 running 9.04 with a wireless card that has the bcm4328 chipset, and I can not get it into monitor mode and have searched the internet and found that it is impossible to do so, however the website for aircrack-ng says that bcm43xx chipsets are compatible, so what's up with that? anyway i guess im just gonna buy a new wireless card but don't know what is going to work, because I obviously can't count on the compatible card list from the aircrack website, so basically what network card (pcmcia, im guessing i think thats the slot thing on the side of the macbook) should i get that will work in ubuntu, monitor mode and all of that stuff, thanks.

What have you tried to do? Please explain the steps you have taken to try to put the card into monitor mode.
