View Full Version : can i change the desktop like it was a normal ubuntu desktop?

i want to use ubuntu netbook remix but i dont like the desktop of it and i would like to install things like dockbarx, and a gtk theme. i was wondering if i switched the desktop back to the default ubuntu desktop, could i install icons, dockbarx, and a gtk theme? im very new to ubuntu but ive used it before, and i want to start using it agin on my netbook, i just dont like the ubuntu nbr desktop

yes, preferences-> startup, uncheck netbook launcher

unlock the window-picker-applet and slide it over, that will give you access to the panel add menu.
