Hi, I have a dual boot system with windows XP and Ubuntu

I deleted a partition of ubuntu without thinking today, as i wanted to try out gOS, and now whenever i boot i get grub error 22, and it means that it cant find the ubuntu partition.

I have read that I can fix it with a windows recovery cd, but as i am running an acer aspire one, i dont have a cd drive, and I also do not have a windows XP CD.

Can anyone help me?

Idealy, I would like just use the windows boot loader, so I can make use of Unetbootin to try out various linux distro's

you can use Super GRUB Disk (http://stmaarten.globat.com/~supergrubdisk.org/) which seems to be down right now. So I can't verify if you can make a bootable USB from it. I would assume you can. Super Grub Disk is capable of restoring a windows MBR.

thanks, I dont know if anyone can help me with using supergrub, i booted it up from USB, then i tell it to recover my windows MBr, thats fine, but then it asks to choose which windows i want to recover it for, and i only get an option to choose syslinux?

Sorry, I don't really use Super Grub Disk, but I know it restores MBR. How I don't know.
