Hello,
Tried to update from 8.10 to 9.04 and can't get to the log-in screen, prob. something to do with the video card. Currently I'm using 9.04 from the LiveCD with no problems.
I would like to create an archive for the "home" folder just to make sure I wont loose anything, however, when trying to create a backup I keep getting "Permission Denied". Is there any way to bypass this issue?
Second, I would like to fix the currant 9.04 installed on my machine, as this was an upgrade I would prefer to keep all of my previous settings, files, etc., is this possible?
Thanks in advance!
