View Full Version : [ubuntu] Can't load Ubuntu on the slave drive!

I am really, really new to Ubuntu. I have been trying to install it on my slave drive (80 Gig) and it seems near impossible. I read many different ideas and the best one seemed to be to make the slave drive the master and do a total install. It loads up to about 72% and everything shuts down.

What am I doing wrong?

Any help would be appreciated.

If you have not already done so, boot the Ubuntu live cd and at the main menu choose the option to check the cd for defects.

. It loads up to about 72% and everything shuts down.
Are you saying your machine powers off? Or that the install stops?
