Hi and welcome, in 8.04 Hardy you can use the alt, F2 keys and enter
gksu displayconfig-gtk and set the driver for the graphics card and resolution.

Ok did you try a different driver? What is the model of the graphics card? Sorry for the delay in response.

i dunno...
im using Gigabyte mother board.... it has 128 MB onboard graphics...
i dont think there's a problem with my hardware...coz... i was able to play many games... in best resolution... which were not played in PC's with Intel motherboard...

i think ubuntu is designed for 15" monitor.. is that true??
coz...when i try to adjust the resolution... i always found... only 15"
