FreeBSD 8.x to have amd64 nvidia drivers

And 8.0 is due out this month. If that release has it I can say goodbye to linux (on my main machine at least) as that is all that was holding me back.

Old news yet fantastic nonetheless. Hardware support is probably the biggest disadvantage for *BSD however unfortauntely for me I have an ATI card though it has worked great with the open source drivers. I've been running FreeBSD 8 beta since about BETA2 and although at first it was quite buggy thanks to their delayed release schedule it's shaping up to become yet again another solid release that I'm quite looking forward to.
