i deleted the panel that show any tabs i have up of programs, internet apps, ect i made a new one but how doi get those tabs back?

If you still have the top panel right click it and then Add to panel the Window List.

If you want to add the bottom panel again then right click the top panel and add New Panel.

Right click Add to panel
Scroll down to
Window List - Add
Workspace Switcher - Add

any way to get these to display vertically? i put the panel on the right side of screen thanks all

i would also like to display the workspace switcher vert as well if i can.

When you put the panel on the left or right side you will see ... where a window is open. You must increase the pixel size to about 30 and then you will see the icon for the window but there will be no text.

There is a thread that talks about Vertical already and it seems that the window switcher does not change for vertical use. http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=861109
