I am trying to use wubi to install Ubuntu 9.04 on a Toshiba laptop currently running Vista Home Premium. However, each time it starts it runs for a few seconds then quits. I never see anything on the screen-- no UI, nada.
The latest CD will launch wubi in autoplay and I can access it directly via explorer, but it's always the same thing-- ask for permission to run, spin for a few seconds, then wubi quits.
I also downloaded the lastest version of wubi straight from the website-- no joy-- it does the exact same thing.
I'm running all this from the administrator account, btw.
Any ideas?
To be clear, I do not want to repartion, etc (yes I know it's slower). I specifically want the wubi installation.
Thanks.
