is there a way to alignment icons names?

Hello,
i'm doing some modifications to my desktop, i'm trying to find a way to alignment icons names to the right side on the desktop.

i've found a trick but this only works in nautilus not on the desktop

gconf-editor>nautilus>icon_view>check v on labels_beside_icons

but desktop folder names still looks normal, is there a way to change it?

any ideas?

hmm, this is one of the reasons i moved to kde, my desktop was getting too messy

i'm not looking to move to another desktop environment...

i just want to alignment icons names on my desktop, that's it, i've worked it out nautilus but the option in gconf-editor does not affect the desktop.
