I've been trying to install Xubuntu on my laptop for the past 2 days.I've already got Ubuntu 9.04 and win 7.Now as I try to install xubuntu using a usb flash drive,i get stuck at the initramfs prompt.I searched the forum and google but could not find a solution that worked.My bios would not let me change many settings (curse HP - I've an HP tx2).
I also tried acpi=off,noaclpi but no luck..
I successfully get to the install gui on other laptops but not on mine.With no quiet/no splash mode i can see that it keeps repeating something like
kjournald loading.*something*
Ext3-fs *something*.Any help??
