Greetings.
I'm in the process of building a small business server for a group of 5 people to access remotely. I'm planning on buying a Gigabyte P35-DS4 with 3 HDD in a raid 5 setup.
Can someone tell me if Ubuntu 9.04 can reliably access the ICH9R and more importantly if it is possible to monitor the health of the HDD with the raid array?
Alternatively I am open to suggestion on what hardware pci/e card would work and provide a suitable monitoring system.
