I am trying to install Ubuntu 9.04 on my computer. It detects the disk when booting, and after a few seconds it loads the installation menu. When I click on install, it just gives me a few weird lines at the top of the screen (I can hear the boot up sound). I rebooted and tried installing it again, it didn't work. I think it is a graphics card issue, but before I buy a new one, I wanted to check whether there was any other problems.
My Computer Specs:
Processor: Intel Pentium 4 3.2GHZ
Motherboard: Asus P4R800-VM
RAM: 3GB DDR1
Graphics Card: ATI Radeon 2400 HD Pro

Boot to the cd and try to run it live. This gives a pretty good picture of what to expect from an install.

I tried booting off it live in safe graphics mode (F4-->Safe Graphics Mode) and it works.
It hopefully should work in the proper installation.
Thanks
