(Sorry if this has already been posted, I did have a look over the first few pages here)

eBay is apparently selling Skype to a group of private investors for $2.75 billion. I found this out from an e-mail from innerpass, which makes a plugin for Skype.

This definitely is a huge profit for ebay. This could be a whole precedent for ebay, software/IT companies selling their companies on ebay.

I wonder how much Canonical would go for on the ebay bid system?...it would be interesting to see.

I wish Google could have bought it. It would have helped compensate the losses from owning YouTube, which I find as too good to lose.

They had Google Videos before buying YouTube.
