View Full Version : [ubuntu] mac4lin problem

I installed mac4lin and it seems to have worked for everything but the dock. Theres no dock, just the toolbar that was there with regular ubuntu desktop. anyone know what to do?

Do you have AWN installed?

umm if I knew what that is I might be able to answer haha. I would guess not.

ok i see an awn folder in the mac4lin install. I just ran the install program, so idk if that installed or not.

AWN is the Avant Window Navigator. it is the dock you see at the bottom when a Mac boots. You have to install & configure AWN for the dock settings in Mac4Lin to work.

ok I'll just look for a tutorial on how to do that. I just ran the mac4lin install it must not have installed AWN.

that won't install AWN, they are the themes and icons & such that Mac4Lin has for the AWN dock. You must install AWN

Please be advised that all the packages you need are in jaunty's repositories under avant-window-navigator and there are various awn applets too. go to synaptic to install them.
