USB Install

Cannot install from USB.
There is a fatal error, saying it cannot load a directory.

modprobe:FATAL: could not load /lib/modules/2.6.28-11-generic/modules.dep: No such file or directory.

then it starts busybox.

any suggestions?

Did you MD5SUM the downloaded iso prior to creating a bootable USB Live CD?

When you boot the USB did you select 'check disk for defects " prior to trying to install?

Maybe your USB was not created properly.
