View Full Version : [all variants] Live CD fails during boot (kubuntu & xubuntu)

I downloaded the kubuntu 9.04 "Jaunty" live iso and burned it to a CD. When I tried to boot on my 2008 Dell desktop (Intel Core2 Quad; 4GB RAM) everything seemed to be working. However, after the progress bar finished, I was left with text on the screen saying that it was "starting bluetooth."

My computer doesn't have bluetooth so I am not sure what this means. Anyway, the OS never finishes starting bluetooth, in fact, if left there for an hour it will still say "Starting bluetooth." When I try to power down, that fails as well, except this time it is trying to stop the bluetooth it never started.

I thought it might be a kubuntu bug, so I tried a xubuntu live CD with the same result. I have tried it on another dell (2007 desktop; Intel Core2 duo; 2GB RAM) with no problem.
