View Full Version : [kde] Setting up KDE in Windows?

Hi, can someone give me some pointers on setting Windows up to look as much like Kubuntu as possible? I have KDE for Windows installed with all the defaults and all the optional software installed. However, all I can see that is KDE-ish are the KDE programs in the start menu. I ran Plasma-Desktop.exe from /C/Program Files/KDE/plasmadesktop.exe, but that just gives me a blue screen background with a empty desktop widget. In Desktop Settings the "Slideshow" and "Desktop" options don't work. Not very encouraging so far, please help me! My goal is to have a Windows system that uses KDE as the default desktop environment. Mind, I am not condemning Kubuntu. I have two other computers using it, and I like it so much I want to make Windows look like it! :)

Thanks,

Oh...that's familiar.

Familiar? Or did I make the KDE desktop sound to much like the vista error screen? :lolflag:
