In the past several weeks I've been having a problem where the computer (or at least X or Gnome?) will lock-up when I try to enter my password, to clear the screensaver. Is anyone else seeing this? Any suggestions on how to troubleshoot it?
It doesn't happen all the time, but maybe every 2 or 3 days. When it happens I try to use ALT-F1 to gain a command-line (then do 'shutdown') but usually there's no response and so I'm forced to cycle-power.
