mouse freeze on ubunty jaunty

Hi,

My Ubuntu Jaunty server was running fine for 3 weeks, and now suddenly it started giving this weird problem of mouse freeze.

I can use the keyboard to login (but the mouse is frozen). I cant do anything further other then shutting/ restarting using Crtl+Alt+Del key presses.

Any help is highly appreciated.

Im getting this too. I have tried a different mouse, and the system seems to work other than the mouse not responding.

The only contributing factor is that I started using an external mouse rather tha n the laptops built in mosepad (neither now work btw)
