Right - this has been bugging me pretty much ever since I saw the expo plugin in action - why isn't there an option to disable the desktop wallpaper, and replace it with something like a solid color or a nice gradient (or a custom image - in which case you could have any of these :)).

I just notice that the expo is really cluttered with the wallpaper and you can't see what you're doing with it. Apple seem to have got it right with their expo rip off in leopard - they have a single blue color for each desktop. BTW I didn't notice this after using leopard - this has been bugging me since I didn't even know what leopard was!

DEFINITELY post on the poll - who knows we might be able to persuade a developer to implement this in compiz, in which case I'd be very grateful ;)
