View Full Version : [ubuntu] Notification area in the middle of the screen after upgrade

I am running Karmic on my Dell Mini 10v. I recently did the upgrade to aplha 4 but since I did, the notification area (which used to be in the top right corner) now displays half way up the screen on the right hand side, ie much lower than it should.
It's just a minor thing and a bit of strange one but anyone got any ideas/ suggestions to remedy it?

It's the Intel gma 950 chipset- default drivers (ie haven't changed anything since the install).
Funny thing is though that it was fine before I went to alpha 4....

Yes- that only finds some Broadcom drivers for my wireless connection.

See: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/notify-osd/+bug/419894
Apparently a change to the old behaviour has just been released

You're joking- that is a feature?? Not a bug!!
I 100% agree with some comments on the launchpad thread- at the very least I should be able to configure it to go where I want (and I liked the top right corner)!!
