i'm using Ubuntu since a very few time so i faced some problems
i came here asking for help
the problem is i can't set up my graphic's driver
it is s3 graphic (32)
please i'm waiting for help
and plz make that help simple

oh i forgot telling you i'm using ubuntu 9.04

i've already installed compiz

I assume you have graphics, but no acceleration? I think on old cards like this one, Compiz might nog work at all.

Have you tried THIS (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=75393) tutorial?

Can you post what exact video chip you have by executing:
lspci | grep VGA

and the contents of your xorg.conf by executing:
cat /etc/X11/xorg.conf
