Public profile/facebook-like app?

I'm looking for a basic public profile open source (preferably php bases) system. Something for our hobby club to have pictures, contact info, etc. of each member on our website.

No luck so far on google...

Something like Elgg (http://elgg.org/) might be useful or Barnraiser (http://www.barnraiser.org/aroundme).

Sort of depends what you want to do with it exactly?

Thanks for the link. Basically a directory of all our members, with picture, contact info (phone, email, facebook/myspace/twitter links), maybe a profile questionaire (for background info purposes). PM capabilities would be nice, but not a requirement.

Elgg looks really good, demo site is down, but browsing the main site now.
