View Full Version : [ubuntu] Accidentally got rid of "libdbus-glib-1-2"

Okay, so this whole mess started when I was trying to upgrade Pidgin. When I was trying to install a package, it said something along the lines of, "Error Dependency: libdbus-glib-1-2" I checked my repository, and it said I had it. Not really knowing how important this package was, I thought I would uninstall it, and reinstall it, just to try it.

Well now, all my networking is disabled, and there is nothing in my Ubuntu except for command prompt. Is there a way I can repair this installation? I can't download anything because networking is disabled once I boot into it.

Any help would be appreciated, because I don't want to clean install if I don't have to.

Although it's dated, would this information http://beans.seartipy.com/2006/05/06/update-or-install-applications-on-debianubuntu-without-an-internet-connection/ be helpful? ;)
