View Full Version : [ubuntu] wrong gnome theme at boot

the only thing I've done is install KDE 4, and now when I boot to Gnome (still running GDM) it defaults to what seems to be clearlooks. But a darker shade of blue on the window boarders. It's very unrefined-looking, almost unfinished. Also, my mouse cursor isn't set at the acceleration settings I have saved.

The odd thing is that when I open System-Preferences-Appearances, my default theme of Human Clearlooks (or any other theme I want set) is suddenly set, and my mouse cursor acceleration is back to "normal".

Has anybody run into this/found a solution? Google has proven to be useless to me. Thanks!

Its just the same as in my case, but i didnt install KDE, i installled Compiz on an Ubuntu Netbook Edition, and im using its desktop interface (no unity). It was allright, but after an update i have the same problem. Besides, my close -minimize buttons are now at the right, with no fix yet.

Its really weird for me. Does anyone has any idea of why it happens?
