Hi all,
I need urgent suggestion for installing ubuntu for hp amd64 bit processor. Yesterday night i installed ubuntu 9.04 amd64 via wubi in my windows vista. But sound is not working.When i played any mp3 or video files, player is working. But i cant able to hear the sound. When logging in also, no start up sound is coming. So again, i went for ubuntu 8.10 amd64. I installed via wubi installer again. The sysytem restarted i found the ubuntu dual boot up. But when i clicked, only a black screen is coming. I waited for long time. But it didnt showed the ubuntu screen. I cant able to shut down my system also. I forced shut down the system and went inside windows and found all the files are installed in the drive. Again i tried dual boot up for entering inside ubuntu. But same black screen. Any suggestion who are using hp laptop with amd64 bit processor or any experts in ubuntu please reply me immediately... I am really confused to go for which version...
