Hi I tried the other day to upgrade my main server boxes mboard.

Swaped the board, and shoved (not litterarly) the hard disks back in, in the correct order.

Grub started fine, but ubuntu crashed, on about line 2: some INT problem.

Now I seem to recall, to reconfigure, ubuntu, I can use the live cd.

Could anyone please remind me of what I need to do. The new board is obviously faster.

thnks in advance.

First boot from the live-cd to check whether that works.

Thank you for that advice. It didn't work with jaunty :( can't find my intrepid disk at the mo :( But it did start with teenpup 2009.

I'll try it with intripid when I find it later.

Now I've tried intripid, and jaunty. Both respond with :

Boot from cdrom.
ISOLINUX 3.63 DEBIAN-2008-07-15 isolinux: Diskerror 01,AX-4240 drive 9F

BootFailed.

Now these disks I have used quite succsessfully, on two other boxes here.

So I am now seeing I can use teenpup to serve my radio station.
