Giant centipede. There is a youtube of one killing a mouse. Its horrible.

Some species hang upside in caves and catch bats. Imagine walking into that. I've just given myself nightmares.

Oh wait, here it is:

The Australian Platypus.

It is an egg-laying, venomous, duck-billed, beaver-tailed, otter-footed semi-aquatic mammal.

How many mammals do you know that lag eggs and are venomous? hmm?

I vote for the water bear.

Tardigrades are polyextremophiles and are able to survive in extreme environments that would kill almost any other animal. Some can survive temperatures of -273°C, close to absolute zero
temperatures as high as 151 °C (303 °F)
1,000 times more radiation than other animals such as humans
nearly a decade without water
and even the vacuum of space.

Borderline mammal. It was only classed as a mammal because it had fur and feeds its young with milk. Genetically, its a really odd mix, just like it is visually-

Whatever it is, its weird. Avoid the venomous spines on the male, they really hurt. From personal experience.

I would say the anglerfish.
126926

Not only they look weird, the way of their reproduction is stunning.

From wikipedia
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anglerfish

When he finds a female, he bites into her skin, and releases an enzyme that digests the skin of his mouth and her body, fusing the pair down to the blood-vessel level. The male then atrophies into nothing more than a pair of gonads, which releases sperm in response to hormones in the female's bloodstream indicating egg release.

If the fish is magnified by 100 times and appears in the reality, I think it is more horrifying than the monster depicted in the movie "Alien".

Hope that you guys won't find the images disturbing! :)

Actually it should be counted as one fish only. According to wikipedia, the tissue of the male was fused to the female, and the male fish is acting as an organ (sex organ?!!) of the female only.

Think what is it like if we human beings reproduce in this way. Hehhehe

I say humans, because they invented microwaveable hot-dogs, the umbrella hat and the ability to destroy themselves thousands of times over.

If you haven't heard of the dreaded Camel Spider, this photograph may give you nightmares (that's why i'm just posting the link.)

Just so you know what to expect... this particular specimen has grown to previously unheard of sizes and developed distinctive colours and markings.
