Hello, Can anyone tell me if i'm stuck with a boring desktop ?

No, but you might have to spend $10. Log onto eBay and find a cheap nVidia video card of the type which is appropriate for your computer. (PCI or AGP)

It's surprising how many fairly decent video cards have been replaced by a better card, and the owner is happy to get a couple of bucks. Then they don't have to feel bad about it going into a landfill.
