View Full Version : [ubuntu] Can't get into Synaptic P.M. (error)

I was following this tutorial here:
http://www.howtoforge.com/installing-virtualbox-3.0-on-an-ubuntu-9.04-desktop

and apparently did something I wasnt suppose to....any way,Im getting an error message when trying to open up synaptic,not sure what I did but any help would be much appreciated. error messages attached.

here is my sources.list(/etc/apt)-gedit

Hi, you need to open your sources.list up and change this part:

# See http://help.ubuntu.com/community/UpgradeNotes for how to upgrade to
# newer
versions of the distribution.
move it backup after #newer
so

# See http://help.ubuntu.com/community/UpgradeNotes for how to upgrade to
# newer versions of the distribution.

Then reload the package list.
