It's a nice idea..but i didn't understand much,are they going to also sell applications in that store?Something like Apple store and Android market?

Its basically a more unified way to install packages, get updates. Canonical probably will have a few things that you have to buy, but most will be free. Maybe it will allow third party developers to sell their stuff there.
