Hey all - newbie here. I just had my first crash on Ubuntu and found out all kinds of stuff. first, I don't have a separate Home partition so no easy re-install. But I did manage to get the GRUB boot to load the Recovery Ubuntu Kernel 2.6.28 -14 and everything appears back to normal except now my SWAP appears to be inactive according to the system monitor graph. So what should I do now? If I try to recover the newest version (Kernel 2.6.28 -15) I get the same errors I got from my first crash: stuff like Kernel Panic, not syncing and it just flashes my keyboard lights at me. By the way this mess came from me trying to use Remastersys without proper training apparently and a whole lot went wrong.... previous post about that is here: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1250247

So any ideas as to how to clean this mess up? How bad is it?
