in my ubuntu when I minimize the windows its not showing in my desktop panel.

I have deleted the panel once and added it after words, From there when I open a window its not displaying it on the panel, Could some one please tell me what happened to it and how can I revert the panel to its original functionalities i am using gnome.:confused:

You created a new panel. It's there. Now you have to add the things you want it to do, in this case to show active windows. Right click the panel, choose "add to panel" and scroll down to "window list". That's the one.

you don't have to add a new panel. You just right click on the panel you have, select "add to panel" then near the bottom select "window list".
