Hi there,

I've used lirc succesfully for a while and this one has me stumped.

irw sucessfuly records my remote presses. However binding these to commands set in .lircrc is not working.

My cut down sample .lircrc file:

begin
button = Green
prog = irexec
config = echo "Green"
end

Testing steps:

1. I restart lirc: sudo /etc/init.d/lirc restart
2. I restart irexec: irexec -d
3. Check that irw receives commands, expially Green key: irw

Output:

000000037ff07ba4 00 Red mceusb
000000037ff07ba4 01 Red mceusb
000000037ff07ba4 02 Red mceusb
000000037ff07ba3 00 Green mceusb
000000037ff07ba3 01 Green mceusb
000000037ff07ba3 02 Green mceusb

4. Press green frantically expecing to see "Green" in a terminal. Have also tried changing the irexec to launch XBMC, myth etc.

5. Nothing happens.

Can anyone suggest any further troubleshooting steps or see where I have gone wrong?

Cheers,
Alex
