installed xubuntu on my friends computer yesterday, today he drops it off and says it cannot play dvds. i personally never played dvds on ubuntu, never had a reason to. but he needs it. tried installing libdvdcss2 but it says it is missing, corrupt or obsolete. any help would be appreciated

oh yeah and when i tried playing the dvd, it tells me that it is encrypted and it cannot play it.

Granted it's written for Ubuntu not Xubuntu but it should still serve you well
