Oh no, what do we do! Where do I vent my disgust for the Little League World Series?

Why you are supporting Closed Source Software...?
Use Identi.Ca

1) No one uses it, defeating the purpose of microblogging.
2) I don't have a closed/open source preference.
3) You're posting on a closed source forum :)

There is a large community of Ubuntu/Linux users using identi.ca, instead or with twitter. I currently follow and have more followers on identi.ca than twitter.

Feel free to follow me at @technoviking on identi.ca or Twitter

And nothing of value was lost.

Remember:

A posting on Twitter is a "tweet"

That makes one who is posting a "tweet" a "twit".

It naturally follows that a "twit" who has posted a "tweet" is a twa....

Ain't English a great language in some cases?

I think it was down due to Catch Of The Day; they had a special day with one special product per hour, and for most of the day their servers couldn't handle the strain and sent back a "too many connections" message.

So people went to the Catch Of The Day Twitter feed to see what that hour's product was. I'm guessing that's what caused Twitter's lack of availability too.

governments should seriously consider funding twitter, and i'm not even joking. Twitter has become "too big to fail".

The idea of a government funded Twitter scares me. Get chills just thinking about it.

I've come to view identi.ca as Twitter for intelligent people that know something about technology. A rarity, I'm sure, but at least it isn't the advertising-riddled celebrity-worship land that Twitter is.

Generic Celebrity Name: OMG! GenericMovie name was soooo much fun! Listening to my GenericMusicPlayerName on my way to GenericRestraunt.

The whole point I even added celebrities when I was on there was because I wondered what their day-to-day lives were like. I imagined....

Celebrity: I just had to drive my brother to the hospital, he broke his leg. Get well soon, bro. Poor guy.
