Hi, I have been trying for the last couple of hours to install Ubuntu 9.04 and it is driving me nuts.

When I go to do the install it won't take me to the GUI instller, but back to the command line, where I am lost.

If I try and do the Try it first option, it gets caught in a User name/password loop and won't let me out. I have entered the Username probably 50 times and it just keeps coming up.

What do I have to do to install????

Thanks, Brad.

Are you installing from bootable cd-rom? When I ran my install, it was done using a bootable cd. GUI was automatically launch when the installation process began.

Yes running from a bootable CD.

I will try doing a slower burn and see if that helps at all.

Brad.

Found the problem, it was the video card. I had made the system with an old Tseng Labs video card. I changed it to a S3 and it installed properly.
