Hi
I have installed UBUNTU 9.04 on my USB based 160GB external hardisk. Installation is successful as I disconnected my systems harddisk and installed directly on the External harddisk.
Restarted the desktop machine setting boot option as boot from External harddisk. It worked fine initially and I am also able to access the content as well do some browsing on it.
Later I tried it on my HP laptop even down there booted without any pains. But after that when I try to boot from External harddisk i get GRUB ERROR 17
So anyone down there who is using LINUX from a USB based External hardisk ... Please help me out or guide me if I can use any other LINUX flavour that is more reliable on a USB based external harddisk .......
