I have a Pentium 4 , 64 bit processor and Ubuntu installed.
How can I tell if the Ubuntu version I have installed is 32 or 64 bit?
Is it hard to convert from 32 to 64?
I'm trying to switch to 64 becuase I've been using Hadoop/Katta indexing and have been running into the 'Too many open Files' problem. I heard that the 64 bit version can have unlimited open files. Is this true? What is the best way to change the maximum value? I've seen a few different thing around the web.
Thanks you very much!
