Hi,

I'm trying to install my new printer an Canon MP630 for a few days now but can't get it to work properly! :(

With some helps from different threads on this and other forums I managed to install the driver I downloaded from the canon site. These where 2 deb packages. After installing the printer seemed to work correctly but when I try to print something it just gives a blank page after a long time of waiting! I also tried selecting the ppd file manually through the "localhost" cups interface. But this gave the same result.

I have no idea what to do next, so any suggestion would be very much appreciated.

okay, I got my printer working via VirtualBox (installed windows as guest OS), but this is far from the way I'd like it to be. If there is ANYONE out there who can help me in solving this that would be extremely appreciated!

Thanks in advance
